  • Lauren Hodges, Ed. D. - Owner

    As a speaker, performance coach, facilitator, instructional designer, and consultant, Dr. Lauren Hodges blends research in physiology, well-being, neuroscience, learning sciences, behavioral psychology, and purpose into the world of work and performance through the design and delivery of deep learning experiences. She helps her clients bring awareness to the beliefs and mindsets driving behaviors, clarify their larger mission, and identify a few key small, sustainable shifts in behavior that can drastically improve their performance not just at work but at home where it matters most. Her life mission is to serve others by helping them thrive in body, mind, and spirit so that their organizations can thrive too.

    Over the past 10 years, Lauren has worked with some of the world’s leaders in health and performance research. Some of her past and current clients include Johnson & Johnson, Accenture, Thrive Global, Hilton, Covenant Living, Covenant Ministries Leadership Board, EMC Health Foundation, Enterprise, JP Morgan, Proctor and Gamble, and others. Lauren holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida and certifications in coaching, strength and conditioning, and performance nutrition. She has been in the health and corporate wellness industry for nearly 15 years. The two most recent courses Lauren has designed in partnership with Stanford Medicine, Estee Lauder, Thrive Global, and Accenture in mental health and well-being have reached over a million people since 2016.

    ​The most important hat she wears, though, is as a wife to her husband, Daniel, and mother to two boys, Jake and Ryder.

    Summer is a New York-based account director with experience as a sales leader, marketer, and brand strategist with nearly a decade of experience working for startups and Fortune 500 clients including: Accenture, Facebook, BlackRock, and Discover alike.

    She guides her clients to grow and perform at their highest levels. Thinking outside the box, she builds simple scaled solutions and custom programs that drive the core revenue engine.

  • Everette Fortner

    ACCOUNT MANAGER, CO-DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

    Everette Fortner Everette Fortner is currently a coach and consultant for Performance-on-Purpose and owner of Everette Fortner Coaching and Consulting. Everette currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at the UVA Darden Graduate School of Business, and most recently served as the Associate Vice President, Career and Professional Development, at the University of Virginia.

    Fortner started his career as a sales and marketing leader, having spent eighteen years in consumer products with Frito-Lay, Kraft, Nabisco and Dun & Bradstreet, including a two-year engagement with Nabisco in Singapore. In 2003 Fortner transitioned to higher education, first with the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and then with University of Virginia Undergraduate Career Services. During his tenure at Darden, Fortner focused on student outcomes, reaching and sustaining industry-leading employment rates for students. Fortner currently still teaches a course in career management at the Darden School.

    A native of Georgia, Fortner received a B.E. from Vanderbilt University School of Engineering in 1984 and a Master in Business from Darden in 1987. He lives in Crozet, Virginia, with his wife, Sally. When not traveling around the country camping, Sally and Everette spend as much time as possible with their three adult children and three grandchildren.

    Amy develops and facilitates trainings for companies globally. She has 25 years of experience in corporate training, coaching and leadership development. She has a passion for supporting clients in living their best lives, multiplying talent of teams, and fostering healthy high performance as a priority for leaders. Amy designs and creates curriculum to meet the ever evolving needs of organizations and individuals. Amy’s empathetic manner creates a safe space for deeply looking at our mindset, what drives limiting beliefs and how to transform through personal responsibility.

    Amy has a B.S. in Exercise Science and Health Education from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Adult Learning from Manhattanville College. She is a Performance, Intrinsic and Positive Intelligence Coach and is Mental Health First Aid and Precision Nutrition Certified.

    Amy lives in North Carolina with her husband Greg, children Jessica, Ben and Jack and 4 grandsons ages three and younger who inspire her to be her best every day! Her mission is to inspire connection, positive energy and personal responsibility to those she loves, leads and serves.

    Dr. Tara Warne-Griggs brings a unique skillset to the work of transforming organizations into inclusive and equitable spaces. She brings over 20 years of experience translating data into actionable knowledge that organizations can use to improve their operations and remove barriers to the success of their employees, faculty, students and/or clients.

    Over the past five years, she has brought that expertise to bear, helping organizations across multiple sectors develop Inclusive Excellence strategic plans to develop and achieve their diversity, equity, and inclusive goals.

  • Tara Gidus Collingwood

    Tara Collingwood is a nationally recognized expert and spokesperson on nutrition, fitness, and health promotion and is quoted in a variety of media including television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and websites. Tara was the co-host of Emotional Mojo, a national television show where she was the resident nutrition and health expert from 2013-2015. She is a past National Media Spokesperson for the professional organization of 80,000 Registered Dietitians, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Tara appeared regularly as the “Diet Diva” on the national morning television show, The Daily Buzz for 10 years until the show ended in 2015. Tara is the author of Pregnancy Cooking & Nutrition for Dummies (2012) and co-author of Flat Belly Cookbook for Dummies (2014) and All In One Pregnancy (2016).

    Tara is currently the nutrition consultant to the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Tara is a nutrition and movement performance coach at the prestigious Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute where she teaches senior executives how to manage their energy. Tara was the team dietitian for the Orlando Magic NBA team and nutrition consultant to University of Central Florida (UCF) Athletic Department for ten years.

    Tara owns Tara Gidus Nutrition Consulting, LLC in Orlando, FL. A dynamic speaker, she motivates groups large and small on various topics such as achieving a healthy weight, preventing disease, maximizing energy, aging well, enhancing sports performance, pregnancy nutrition, and creating a positive body image.

    As a consultant, she has worked with numerous companies including Walt Disney World, Rodale Publications, Tupperware, Canyon Ranch Spa, Rosen Hotels, Vijuvia Life Centers, United Behavioral Healthcare, and others. As the official nutritionist for runDisney for three years, she offered nutrition tips to runners on the runDisney blog as well as at the EXPO for all Disney races. Tara was a health blogger and the Healthy Eating Expert on the health information website www.healthline.com for five years. Tara has previous experience improving the diets of senior executives through her work with the Rippe Health Assessment at Advent Health Celebration. She has also overseen numerous weight loss research projects.

    Tara graduated from Purdue University earning a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major of Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness, and Health. She continued on at Purdue, earning a Master of Science Degree (MS) in Health Promotion, specializing in health behavior and worksite wellness programs. She is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Florida. Tara holds a Board Certification as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). Tara is also a Certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CPT). Tara was inducted into the Purdue University Alumni Hall of Fame in the School of Nutrition Science in 2013 for her many accomplishments in the field of nutrition.

    Volunteering is something important to Tara as evidenced by her continued commitment to the Restoration Ministries for Women. For six years, Tara gave a lecture biweekly to a group of women who are on a six-month rehabilitation program after their release from prison. She taught them how to eat right and exercise in order to feel their best to beat their addictions and get their lives on the right track. Tara has served as the Co-Chair of the Silent Auction for the American Cancer Society’s Orlando Chapter. She is a Past President of the Dietetic Association in Orlando and served as the Awards Chair for the Florida Dietetic Association. She has received numerous awards including the esteemed Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year from the Florida Dietetic Association.

    Tara appears frequently as an expert on various television stations and shows including ivillage Live, Orlando NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox stations, Central Florida News 13, CW Network, Ivanhoe Broadcast News, and The Golf Channel. Tara lost her husband Stephen Gidus to cancer in 2012. She married John Collingwood in 2015 and they are busy raising her two sons, Basil (12), Levi (10), and two stepsons Maxim (16), and Samuel (14).

  • Cesar Gamio

    Soon after earning his degree in International Business Management from universities in the United States and Japan, César led a successful career in two Fortune 500 companies in the technology & communications industry for 15 years, holding executive leadership positions in various regions across the world.

    César is now an adjunct professor at IE Business School, a Corporate Wellness Specialist certified by the Corporate Health and Wellness Association (U.S.A), and an Executive Life Coach accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

    Under the training and personal guidance of Dr Deepak Chopra, the global leading authority on mind-body medicine, César became a Senior Educator for the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. He also serves as Senior Advisor to the London-based Global Centre for Conscious Leadership.

    For the past decade, César has been providing workplace wellbeing and change management consultancy, facilitating workshops, webinars and coaching executives across multiple industries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, North and Latin America.

    César lives in England with his wife and two children.

    As a performance coach and keynote speaker with over two decades of experience in motivating and inspiring individuals to reach their goals, Jenn is dedicated to helping others become the best version of themselves, both professionally and personally. She coaches both corporate teams and individuals in energy, resilience, nutrition, and fitness to increase productivity, engagement, and performance.

    A dynamic and energetic coach, Jenn draws on her extensive business experience in Sales and Leadership Development. As National Director of Sales, Jenn managed and directed 50 sales teams across the U.S. in working with CSC, one of the country’s largest government contractors. For more than eight years, she fostered a strong partnership between the two organizations resulting in $100 million in revenue. She led the business development team and consulted with C-Suite executives on national projects supporting large military projects for the U.S. Department of Defense. Jenn also designed, contracted, and managed a $50 million national infrastructure rollout for Ernst & Young’s IT department. As one of few women in leadership, Jenn also mentored several female sales associates, developing them as leaders.

    Jenn’s passion for leading and helping others led her to establish Balanced Performance, her own learning and development and coaching company. She has designed custom programs for business leaders on how to increase their performance and excel both in their careers and personal lives. As an executive coach, Jenn has worked one on one with Fortune 100 executives. She promotes Balanced Performance by focusing on the person as a whole, teaching strategies for becoming physically fit, emotionally connected, mentally focused and spiritually aligned. Jenn has consulted with organizations in developing corporate wellness programs and has also led workshops on building resiliency among teams facing intense business change. She has worked with numerous organizations including AARP, AT&T, Deloitte, ExxonMobil, GE, Google, GSK, Johnson and Johnson, Mars, Red Hat, and Nestle’.

    Jenn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) in Communications and German from Wake Forest University. She is fluent in German. Passionate about exercise and nutrition, she is an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer and has been leading and encouraging clients to achieve their personal goals for over 25 years. Jenn is also a certified Sports Fitness Nutrition Coach (Pn1) and has helped teams and individuals learn how food can help one perform the best in competition as well as for improved health in life.

    Committed to helping change lives, Jenn has served as a mentor and coach to young girls through the nationally recognized Girls on the Run organization. She is a volunteer and advocate for the Ronald McDonald House at Duke University Hospital. An avid athlete, Jenn competes in the North Carolina Triathlon Series. She is married and is a proud mother to two daughters, ages 17 and 19.

With backgrounds in health promotion, business development, communications, and education she is uniquely qualified to support leaders and teams in the creation and delivery of multidisciplinary approaches to both personal and corporate success.

    Beginning her career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Cindy quickly realized that achieving true wellbeing required a broader, more holistic approach; one that integrates the elements of physical health such as nutrition, fitness and sleep, with mental, emotional and spiritual health. While working in industry, in higher education, and one-on-one with business professionals and athletes, she also saw first-hand how powerfully each of these components impacted performance, resiliency, and leadership – an awareness that led her to embark on a lifelong mission to share this knowledge with as many people as possible, and to provide simple tools and strategies that make this knowledge actionable.

    To support this vision Cindy joined like-minded organizations including the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute where she educated thousands of executives, managers and teams on practical methods for enhancing performance via the global delivery of interactive, multidimensional training programs in North America, Europe and Asia. As a member of Johnson & Johnson’s Premier Executive Leadership Program team, she provides individual coaching to assist C-Suite executives in accelerating their personal development and meeting professional performance goals.

    Cindy also founded Speaking of Wellness LC, a consulting firm that provides strategic planning, content development, corporate wellness programing, marketing and communications support to Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, government agencies and professional associations. She has energized and empowered audiences as a keynote speaker and guest expert on all media platforms including TV, radio, print and the Internet, as well as live event appearances. Excelling at the translation of complex health and medical data into user-friendly, actionable information, she has written for numerous publications including medical supplements to USA Today, and she is the author of The Manual That Should Have Come With Your Body.

    Aschton is an Executive Performance Coach who has helped executives at every level in Fortune 500 companies achieve sustainable gains through healthier habit formation. As an athlete who has also prepared national athletes for the Olympic Games, he is well-versed with the level of commitment and effort required to be a top performer.

    Outside of coaching, Aschton founded a sports nutrition brand, www.activevita.com.sg. Here he focuses on supporting athletes with their nutrition strategies through consultations and clean, easy to use sports nutritional products that he has formulated and developed himself.

    He has been involved in opening and running some of the largest health clubs around the world with top lifestyle fitness brands. In addition, he has helped multinationals implement their wellness programs, where his focus was enabling more people to adopt healthier lifestyles through movement, nutrition, rest and recovery and other facets of wellness.

    Aschton has an MSc from Loughborough University with a background in sports science & coaching. Aschton is a qualified Nutrition, Strength & Conditioning, Running Technique and Ironman Coach, and a Personal Trainer, and Sports therapist. He is an avid mountain runner who loves running the trails to summit the highest mountain in every country he visits, and this has included Mt Everest. As a triathlete, he thrives on the multi-disciplined events of the sport and enjoys the Ironman fleet of events.

    His way of recharging is spending special moments with his wife and daughter. He has discovered parenting duty to be extraordinarily effective in building resilience, endurance, and gratitude.

    Yimin is a professional facilitator and performance coach who has over 20 years of leadership and talent development experience at the multi-international company. She has the great passion on empowering leaders to perform at their full potential towards their purpose.

    As the former head of Leadership Academy at Xian-Janssen Pharmaceutical Ltd., Johnson & Johnson, Yimin worked as the strategic learning partner in providing personal effectiveness and leadership development solutions for business. She also focused on facilitating the individual, team and organizational change, coaching and developing future leaders, and shaping the culture for complaint and sustainable business growth

    Currently, Yiminis is a Performance Coach certified by Human Performance Institute (HPI) and Performance on Purpose. Over the past 10 years, Yimin has been actively engaged in facilitating this performance course for over thousands of people in China and AP Region. She also finds deep satisfaction and fulfillment in helping individual and organization to creating the lasting behavior change and maximizing sustainable high performance at both work and home where it matters most through energy management.

    Yimin received her EMBA at Business School of Nanyang Technological

As a performance coach, Bill draws from his diverse background and wealth of business experience in operations, sales, and HR leading both functional and global teams. Bill is an accomplished performance coach with nearly 15 years of experience speaking and facilitating to both small and large groups of executives.

    Bill is founder and president of Learning Delivery Partners, a facilitation company that creates partnerships with clients and consulting firms to deliver an extraordinary participant experience. He holds certifications in Polarity Management, Situational Leadership, Meyers Briggs, Negotiations training, among others.

    Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communications from the University of Washington. A talented and versatile individual, Bill is a nationally published cartoonist and has appeared was a regular contributor in King Feature Syndicate’s New Breed comic strip. He illustrated Care Packages for the Workplace by Barbara Glanz. He is the author of the booklet, The Fuse is Lit. An avid cyclist, Bill is a former competitive USCF road cyclist.

    Bill continues to work on his most important roles, striving to be extraordinary to his wife Tracy, their six adult children and three granddaughters.

    Chris McUtchen is a Performance Coach delivering courses to a diverse range of Fortune 500 companies focused on increasing engagement, energy management and living their “best lives” by connecting with Purpose . Chris has worked for over 15 years in Asia Pacific, EMEA and the Americas facilitating Energy Management and Human Capital focused programs and is considered a subject matter expert across areas of resilience, performance, communication, behaviour change and energy

    management. He has worked in the space of behavioural change since graduating from La Trobe University with a Bachelor Degree in Health Science majoring in Anatomy and Physiology.

    Chris has designed and implemented Health, Engagement and Performance based programs all over Europe and Asia Pacific with a focus on sustainable and transformative behaviour change. Chris consults to Fortune 500 companies globally with clients GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson and Johnson, Microsoft, Lego and Boston Consulting Group.

    Chris regularly competes in Half Ironman events across Asia Pacific and enjoys taking his surfboard and spontaneous motorbike adventures whenever he travels to continue his love for the outdoors. He finds deep satisfaction and fulfilment in helping individuals and companies discover their pathway to a higher level of personal and professional performance. Chris currently lives on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and is a proud father of four.

    Debbie attained a Certified Administrative Professional certification with a specialty in Human Resource, Organizational Management and Project Management and Virtual Support (CAP, HR, OM, PM, VS), a professional certification geared toward office management and business. Administrative professionals with a specific credential (OM) that focuses on increasing skills and abilities encompassing the duties, responsibilities, and knowledge required of an administrative professional in the 21st Century. It is the only recognized professional certification in the administrative profession that encompasses all areas of an office environment. Attending Capstone courses over the years she attained certification in Human Resources (HR) Project Management (PM) and Virtual Support (VS). She continues to attend personal and professional- development conferences, seminars and webinars maintaining prerequisite re-certification requirements.

    Debbie graduated from Barry University Magna Cum Laude with Bachelors of Science in Administration.

    As an experienced business leader, executive coach, keynote speaker and former collegiate Division I athlete, Lynn helps people ignite their personal power by practicing self-leadership strategies that can position them for success.

    Lynn brings her engaging and personable style to a clientele list that includes Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit organizations and prominent academic institutions. In her work, she uses her expertise in behavioral change; specifically focusing on helping people implement habits that drive health, happiness, engagement and peak performance. Recently, Lynn had the opportunity to do such work in her role as a performance coach for Know Your Value; an MSNBC national tour that helped women share their personal purpose with the world.

    Prior to starting her consulting practice, Lynn spent over 20 years working in organizations such as WIC (Women, Infant and Children), Planned Parenthood, Parke-Davis, Warner-Lambert, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Lynn’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from The University of Arizona and she holds two master’s degrees; a master’s in public health from The University of Arizona and a master’s in organizational development and leadership from The Fielding Institute. Lynn has been formally trained as an executive coach through CoachU, a certified International Coaching Federation institution.

    Lynn resides in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with her husband and three children.

Others looking to sharpen their personal and professional edge, will partner with Jill directly to leverage her broader leadership experience and expertise.

    Jill has strategically partnered with thousands of clients to create positive change. One worth noting began in 2017, when she joined MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski on a global initiative to support women in knowing and growing their value. This experience sparked one of Jill’s latest initiatives - supporting women in strengthening their communication and negotiation skills to create better outcomes, and a greater sense of empowerment, in their personal and professional life. This has evolved to a coach-role on the Game Changer Negotiation Team with The Molly Fletcher Company, where Jill has been able to take negotiation to a new level and an even broader audience.

    Jill’s expertise in leadership is grounded in her own trials and tribulations as a leader – experiences that have helped her grow and better support other leaders. One of her most impactful and rewarding leadership roles was with Johnson & Johnson. As the Global Development Lead, she was responsible for the development of 150 coaches from 14 countries and 17 languages in sharing the performance energy message world-wide. Jill was also a regular columnist for a women’s health magazine where she shared science-based, practical guidance on how to have the passion, focus, energy and health needed to live your best life.

    Although Jill’s career has grown to a global stage, she got her start in public education, then transitioned into the corporate arena where her success in sales, management, learning & development, and coaching led to new opportunities. Jill continues to work for and with various individuals and companies planning and facilitating leadership programs, conducting one-on-one and group performance coaching, designing and delivering sales and product training, as well as developing and executing business strategies for organizational and business success.     Scott Tibbels is an energetic and passionate leadership coach, moving participants to open their minds and hearts to the content they’re learning and motivating them to commit to their action plans and any new skills they’re acquiring.

    Scott has over thirty years of experience in the performance development industry. As a coach, Scott specializes in leadership, performance development, strategic business development, and leadership presentation skills. Scott also facilitates leadership retreats and workshops with executives and business owners on business development, presentation skills, strategy and leadership. He has experience with clients from a broad range of industries including healthcare, defense, financial services, airline, retail, professional services, government and manufacturing.

    Scott is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Texas where he was a member of the Cowboy’s baseball team as a pitcher. He is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and holds certifications from the Center for Executive Coaching, Insights Discovery and The Table Group.

    Scott has spent most of his 30-year career coaching individuals, teams, and organizations to reach next-level performance.     Scott lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Lori. They are both active in the community through their volunteer work with the San Antonio Food Bank and Soldiers Angels. On this basis, he broadened his skills with experience in over dozens consulting and training assignments spanning across the bio-technology, civil engineering, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, medical, and trading industry.

    As a professional trainer and facilitator, he is well versed in leadership transition and change management challenges, particularly with multicultural and matrix teams. Sunao’s strengths lie in balancing a methodological approach with cultural and personal sensitivities and ensuring clients gain direct benefits from organisational development initiatives.

    Sunao also shares his experiences and utilizes various profiles and assessments as a business coach, a service that he delivers regionally.     Janet Driscoll is a skilled and passionate Performance Coach and Educator, with over 30 years experience in education, training & development, corporate & private wellness programming and human performance. Janet focuses on creatively engaging clients, from all walks of life, on the process of behavioral change.

    While working in the arena of higher education, Janet personally witnessed the impact our physical, mental and emotional well-being has on our performance, our resiliency, and our ability to lead and be our best. This was the beginning of her commitment to empower and support others in developing attainable and sustainable strategies to live their best lives both personally and professionally.

    One of Janet’s greatest accomplishments was the design and implementation of a communication skills curricula for an adult workplace education program. This curriculum focused on fostering connection and communication, encouraging personal and professional growth of future leaders. Tools and strategies were taught that facilitated employees to get involved, to ask questions, to improve problem identification and to take decisive action, to be a part of uncovering a solution.

    Janet continues to lean into her mission of helping others discover their potential. For the past 12 years she has been a performance coach facilitating Energy Management and Human Performance programs to high performing leaders, teams, and individual contributors globally across the Johnson & Johnson family of companies.

    In addition to coaching, Janet held the role of Advisor to the Americas Region for the J&J Companies. Her strong communication skills were critical in creating solid relationships with key site decision-makers, as a trusted expert on Energy Management and Human Performance trainings. Janet assessed the specific needs of over 70 sites, supervising the deployment of all courses and providing ongoing troubleshooting and support.

    Janet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Bridgewater University. She is an AAAI/ISMA certified Personal Trainer and Sports Fitness Nutrition Coach (Pn1), who strongly believes in the connection of our physical health to our overall wellbeing and performance.

    Janet resides in Massachusetts with her husband, Dennis. She is the proud mom of three amazing sons, who’s careers have taken them to Boston, Oregon and Berlin, Germany.

History 

Performance on Purpose was co-founded in 2019 by Dr. Lauren Hodges and Phil Burton, two human performance and well-being experts who worked and served together at Johnson & Johnson's Human Performance Institute and Lifework Leadership Orlando. Lauren and Phil saw an opportunity to fill the gap in the human performance training market by providing both deep, transformational programs and a suite of sustainability resources to walk alongside their clients through the behavior change process. The company grew to include the incredible team it has today and the ability to serve clients from all industries across the world.
